It all started with a routine walk along a familiar trail. On April 2, 2011, Cleon Smith was taking a trek through a path off Goose Cove Road, just beyond the town of St. Anthony. But soon heavy snowfall came and Smith did not return home. When the snow finally stopped, a search began. Some footprints were found leading to the ocean, but a search of the waters near the former American air base in St. Anthony did not turn up any trace of Smith. Six years on, his whereabouts remain unknown.
